Lunar Soma for Baraza Yoga
The second Baraza mala is crafted from materials long associated with purification, protection, and intuitive wisdom.
Selenite: the stone of moonlight and purification
Named after Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon, it has been valued for centuries as a stone of clarity, cleansing, and higher awareness. In meditation traditions, practitioners used selenite to clear the mind, release stagnant energy, and invite a gentle, elevated state of consciousness.
White Turquoise: a guardian of truth and healing
Turquoise has been revered by cultures across the world as a stone for protection and healing acceleration. The white variety was believed to guard travelers, soothe the spirit, and help align thought with intuition.
Bamboo: the original material of Buddhist prayer beads
(see previous description)
The Goddess-Moon Pendant: the cycle of inner renewal
The gold-plated 925 silver goddess-moon pendant honors feminine wisdom, intuition, and the cyclical nature of transformation. It mirrors the phases of feminine inner growth - the maiden, the mother, the crone.
Together, these elements are spiritually resonant and visually serene. It reflects the peaceful, moonlit side of Baraza, its interplay of heritage and harmony, inspired by the studio’s old Portuguese stonewalls, the grace and lightness of its curtains and timeless arches.
